Dear MendMeShop,

Thank you so very much!I fell from a ladder to a cement floor several months ago and broke my hip.I'm generally very healthy, and this was my first broken bone in my 68 years. When I fell, I banged my feet on a ladder and now have inflamed bursa in my heels.I have also had some arthritis in my knees for a few years, and the accident did not help. I am sold on your unit. We live basically on social security, and this will be a great help to us.

More Tendon Facts:

Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.

A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.

Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.

Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.

Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.

To Heal as fast as possible:

Rest
Use a Cold Compression Wrap
Get Therapeutic Ultrasound Treatment
Avoid Pain Killers

Dear MendMeShop,

Dear "Aid My Tendon", I am so happy I found your company when I did an "achilles tendon" search on the internet. The kit has been a Godsend and I can use it in my own home and when it is convenient for me. So far it has given me amazing results. When it starts to flare up again (usually because I have worn the "wrong" shoes) I just go to work on it with the Inferno Wrap followed by the Ultrasound treatment. Thanks for making these products available to the public. Yours truly, Glenna

My Inferno Wrap: Just Perfect. Period. Also, thank you for your patience, as I unloaded my many questions on you. Regards, and Best of Success, Bruce

Dear MendMeShop,

I am actually pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of the ultrasound device. I self diagnosed myself with Intersection Syndrome from a repeating wrist motion at work. It felt horrible for 3 weeks, tendons creaking, swelling, severe pain, and decreased range of motion. Admittedly, I have only done the procedure 3 times so far in about 4 days (and have not used it now for about 3 days), and I am using that hand fully at work now and have not irritated the injury once. Although I know it is not completely healed yet, it truly feels like nothing ever happened. I am still skeptical that this thing can work that well, but I can’t deny that as soon as I started using the ultrasound device and then wrapping my wrist in alternating hot and cold, my wrist almost immediately got better. It was literally 4 days later and it was like nothing was wrong. I seriously can’t believe it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Bicep Tendonitis and Bicep Strain

Bicep Tendonitis, Bicep Strain

Bicep tendonitis is a term for painful inflammation of the tendon connecting the bicep muscle to the shoulder. Symptoms include an extremely piercing pain, a shooting or burning pain at the front of the shoulder, especially when you move your arm forward over shoulder height, or during an activity like throwing something. The bicep muscle is in the front part of the upper arm, the bicep tendons connect this muscle to the elbow and at two points on the shoulder. The degree of injury ranges from an irritated tendon to a tear or even a complete rupture of the tendon. Bicep tendonitis is not as common as achilles or supraspinatus, though it is prevalent among weightlifting sports.

Bicep Tendonitis should not be left untreated as it can degenerate and become more difficult to treat. When treating the bicep tendon(s), rest the area (meaning do NOT workout this area other than stretching), apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day to 3 days. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy may be used after the acute swelling is improved and rest prevents further muscle injury. This can be further helped by the use of therapeutic ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly, minimizes scar tissue build up and increases blood flow to the area.

Often when a tendon injury occurs, the injured area is rested a bit, a pain killer is taken and we continue on with our normal activities. If the strain was minor, the body may be able to heal the muscle fibers normally. Unfortunately, this is not the usual result because the injured muscle is being used instead of rested. Because of the stress on the tendon, the body heals the injured fibers by binding them together with fibrotic adhesions or scar tissue. This is done in an attempt to prevent further damage to the injured area. It is a normal protective response of the body.

The trick to any tendon injury is getting it to heal with minimal scar tissue formation and with as much realignment of tendon fibres as possible - something Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy and ultrasound are great at! Even with optimum healing there is always less elasticity in a previously injured tendon. The trick is to make sure you heal this the best you can, that way your chance of reinjury down the road is much lower than average - which is well over 50%.

Tendon Injury Facts:

When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.

Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.

As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.

Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.

Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.

Dear MendMeShop,

I greatly appreciate all your help you have given me throughout this very trying and frustrating experience. The ultrasound has helped in the healing process of my torn meniscus immensely. I took your advice and managed to do the ultrasound 3 times a day on the routine as you had outlined; however, in the a.m. I was only able to squeeze in 5 minutes. Within a week, the inflammation was dissipating. I am continuing my normal active lifestyle pain free (i.e. hiking, iceskating, and daily workouts at the gym). Occasionally, I will have flare-ups from overuse, so I continue to use the ultrasound, about once a day or every other day on a per needed basis. I realize that a torn meniscus is not something that will heal overnight, so patiently giving it time and TLC. The convenience of being able to use the ultrasound in home is such an advantage. I would highly recommend this product and your company to anyone. You and your staff have helped me with all your advice and support more than my own doctor!! Many thanks.

Dear MendMeShop,

Thanks so very much for rushing a new adapter for my Ultrasound device. It works perfectly again, and I am excited! Also, it was very kind of you to send a bottle of the Ultrasound Gel, which I can certainly use. I have never dealt with a company that provides the excellent service Mend Me Shop does. Thank you again!! I fell from a ladder onto a cement floor last October and broke my hip--my first broken bone--and was unable to walk for six weeks. My left foot was very swollen and bruised for months afterward. After six weeks, my hip had healed well, and my orthopedic surgeon told me I could walk again. Although I experienced no pain in my hip, there was extreme pain in my heels when I would get up to walk. I apparently banged my feet very hard on the ladder steps when I fell. The orthopedist just shrugged his shoulders and told me there were no broken bones in my foot. He did send me to a podiatrist, who diagnosed inflamed bursae in my heels. He simply told me to wear shoes with a little heel, to purchase some inexpensive heel cups, and said it might take a year or two for my feet to heal. I followed the podiatrist's instructions, which eased the pain very little. I am so thankful I was introduced to the Ultrasound device! I have used it three weeks per Mend Me Shop's instructions and am now taking the fourth week off. My heels are 99% better, and I have almost no pain in them at this time. I am going to continue the treatment for another week or so until I feel certain everything has healed and then plan to use it for some arthritis in my right knee. Thank you, Mend Me Shop, from the depths of my heart (and my husband's too)!
