Dear MendMeShop, I injured a tendon on the top part of my ankle about four months ago by walking too far on a sandy beach, dragging 2 heavy surf boards.
I tried healing it with rest, ice, physical therapy and two cortizone shots, but it was improving much slower than I would've liked.
So, I got the ultrasound machine and an inferno wrap from mendmeshop.com and the results have been amazing!
In just 10 days, I've seen more improvement than I had in the previous 3 months with the cortizone shots and staying off of it completely. Now I'm very confident that it will heal on it's own(if I continue the ultrasound and inferno wrap treatments) and that I won't need the expensive MRI or surgery that I had been discussing with the foot doctor.
I can't thank mendmeshop enough or recommend them more enthusiastically. They saved me a lot of money, a lot of time on crutches, and have been friendly and extremely helpful with questions I've had.
I would highly recommend them to anyone suffering from an injury. Rating: Dillion Turnbow
More Tendon Facts:
Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.
A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.
Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.
Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.
Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.

Dear MendMeShop, Thanks for the follow up email from my ultrasound purchase. It is a miracle, and a quick one at that.
I am an Ironman and suffered from IT Band Syndrome beginning in June.
The pain was excruciating. Not only could I no longer run or bike, but I also suffered from merely walking.
I've been to every doctor, tried every therapy and non-pharmaceutical treatment available. It has been 4 months since my last run.
After using the ultrasound machine for a week, I ran yesterday for 20 minutes as a trial--the pain was minimal. As I continue with my therapy my only regret is that I did not make this purchase 4 months ago when I first came upon your website. Thank you so much!
I can't wait to get back out on the road and now I know that day is right around the corner. Rating: L Towne Dear MendMeShop, I was skeptical at first as to be expected with anything being purchased online, however I decided to take my chances and just go for it. I tried all that I could to heal plantar fascilitis and nothing seemed to work for me, and the things that did work were taking wayyy to long. I got to the point where I was beyond frustrated I was so devastated that I couldn't run, or even sit for more than 5mins without standing up with excrucitaing pain. I turned to aid my tendon and so far I have nothing but pleasantries to say about it. I ordered the Night splint and inferno wrap and I use them everyday needless to say it has only been a week but I do see signs of serious improvement. It even almost seems like my healthy foot is getting jealous so sometimes I put the inferno wrap on it cause it is very soothing. I have only had it for a week so I cant give it a full 5 stars but I am expecting to be back in the next couple weeks updating my review with all pleasnt things Thanks. Rating: Emerrald Hutchinson Dear MendMeShop, Dear Sirs,
I purchased the ultra sound machine a little over a month and a half ago. I have degenerative joint disease, arthritis and a torn meniscus in my R knee. I have been using the gel and the ultrasound 3 times a day. I also had cell therapy to my R knee, my doctor recommended that I do the ultrasound therapy and the warm packs three times a day.
I also broke my ankle in the year 2000, I needed an ORIF with plates and pins and then a year later I had the hardware removed. I had a lot of scar tissue. My doctor also did cell therapy to my ankle and we have been doing the ultrasound and warm packs to my ankle too. My husband said the other day that he was having a hard time seeing the scar on the medial aspect of my ankle. Low and behold I looked down at my ankle and the scar tissue was in fact disappearing. The stiffness went away in my ankle too; partly due to the cell therapy but mostly from the ultrasound therapy. My knee is doing very well. I have no more pain in my knee. We are also doing ultrasound therpy to my other knee because it was starting to bother me probably from all the stress of my injured knee. This knee did not have cell therapy, it was just painful. I have been doing the ultrasound to that knee for approximately 3 weeks and it is not hurting anymore. I am so grateful for your product. Of course we have bought a lot of gel because we are treating so many areas.
Thank you so much for all your help. Wonderful product. I am recommending it to friends and family.
Sincerely,
Anne Rating: Anne Pepe

de Quervain's Tendonitis/Tendinitis
Thumb Tendinitis, de Quervains Tenosynovitis, Quervain's Stenosing Tenovaginitis (sometimes referred to as "new mom's syndrome")
de Quervain's Syndrome is an inflammatory condition that is commonly caused by cumulative injury, and is one of the most common diagnosed conditions treated by hand surgeons. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome also theorized to be caused by repeated and cumulative trauma, is one of the major causes of lost workdays at the present time. Regarding de Quervain's tenosynovitis, there is potential for symptoms in the arm other than those involving the tendon. This can result from the close proximity of the nerves, tendons, sheaths, and fascia of the forearm to the site of inflammation.
Symptoms and Diagnosis
de Quervain's tendonitis was initially common in new mothers who hyperextended their thumbs while holding the head of their babies. This syndrome is also fairly common in older individuals as well.
The primary symptom of de Quervains tendonitis is pain at the base of the thumb near the wrist. The pain can be sudden and sharp or increase on a gradual basis with use of the thumb or hand. de Quervains is almost always associated with tenderness and swelling of the styloid process of radius bone. Pain can radiate into the forearm and thumb.
de Quervains tenosynovitis is the thickening and inflammation of the sheath containing the tendons of the inner wrist and thumb area (extensor pollicis brevis and abductor pollicis longus tendons). de Quervain's Tendonitis results from inflammation or constriction of the tendons of the muscles of the thumb at the point where they pass into the wrist. In many cases both tenosynovitis and tendonitis occur, a condition known as tendinopathy.
Diagnosis of this condition is based on the location of pain, decreased hand function, and the presence of swelling in the hand.
Treatment
Surgery is not usually necessary, and is typically the option of last resort. A troublesome complication of surgery for de Quervains tenosynovitis is a painful neuroma of the radial nerve as well as increased presence of scar tissue due to the invasive nature of surgery. Controlled exercise several times daily is commonly recommended, especially to prevent frozen shoulder, after the acute inflammation is controlled. Injection within the tendon sheath of a corticosteroid is also sometimes very helpful. The application of Ultrasound may be very useful for decreasing inflammation, gently increasing flexibility, and speeding the healing rate of the tendon. However, there are occasions where ultrasound is not recommended, so ask your physician if it is right for you!
Ultrasound treatment is quickly becoming very popular for treating tendons, ligaments and muscles, as results have been very positive as long as the patient (1) keeps the area inactive throughout the healing process and (2) sticks to the treatment properly until healing has completed.
The MendMeShop Ultrasound System is great for tendonitis because you can treat yourself 3 times a day in the comfort of your own home so you can heal faster and more completely.

Tendon Injury Facts:
When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.
Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.
As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.
Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.
Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.
Dear MendMeShop, I am using the ultrasound mostly 3 times a day. I occasionally can only get in 2 times a day due to the traveling at present. I think I have had good results, it has helped a constant pain go away, unfortunately I continue to have occassions where I move a certain way and my shoulder is in pain. This causes a set back. At present these pain times are less severe and I'm having fewer of these occurances. I rest my arm as much as possible. I bought an AC adapter for use in the car while on the road.
All the walking I've done over the past 6 days has caused a knot to reappear in the arch of my foot from a previous injury to a tendon sheath. I've used the ultrasound on it and it helps it go down and has greatly eased the pain, since I'm still needing to walk.
The ultrasound has been a blessing for me and I'm sure will continue to do so. Rating: Vonda Clerke
Dear MendMeShop, I have bicep tendonitis and a partially torn rotator cuff...which was the reason I bought the machine.
It was the only thing which gave me relief.
As of April, I was seriously considering surgery and the Dr. gave me 3 months to think about it. I used ultrasound frequently and when I returned to him in July, he was shocked at the improvement...he said surgery was not recommended at that time!
I didn't need it too much over the summer but used it on my other problems...arthritis in my knees and feet... also, spurs and plantar fasciitis in my flat feet. I kept meaning to contact you but it has been a trying year with my mother, mother in law and 15 year old dog passing...and me not addressing my pain.
Now with winter in full force again, I am in constant pain...my feet /ankle being the biggest problem. When my shoulder pain crops up, I immediately use ultrasound and it seems to prevent worsening. My husband has used it a few times as well, as he developed a slight shoulder problem. I LOVE my ultrasound!
Thank you so much for your help and for the wonderful machine! I have told numerous people about it but they tend not to believe that it could work.
Before I ordered it, I was in constant pain...I figured it was worth a shot. I am so glad I did. I hope I can get some relief for my current pain after getting some more gel. Rating: Margery Levin

Dear MendMeShop, I have been suffering on and off for 3 years with tennis elbow. When it flared up again a few months ago I started the standard treatment of resting and icing followed by excercising. After about 4 weeks I had 30% improvement, no where near enough to start playing tennis again. I ordered the ultrasound machine with every intention of returning it if I did no tget good results after 4 weeks of trying it. Well after about 2 weeks of 3 times a day treatments I was about 80% better and another week about 90% better and back on the courts. I have played twice and seem to be holding steady. I am usually quite the skeptic but I truley can't believe how this has helped. Last time I had tennis elbow I was off the courts for 9 months and in PT for 6 of it. It was worse than this time but I never dreamed I would be back on the courts after 3 weeks of treatment. I am so thrilled and have been spreading the news to my other tennis elbow sufferers. Just ordered a six pack of the gel too. Love that stuff. Feels great. Thank you so much. Rating: Elizabeth Mealing
