Dear MendMeShop,

Must admit that I haven't seen a lot of difference with it, so far. I'm doing all sorts of therapies for the ankle and the hip (piriformis syndrome), and am sure that the problem is bigger than just using a tens unit and the ultrasound. That said, I LOVE the gel that comes with the unit and if, for no other reason, use the unit so that my muscles can get the benefit of the gel. I do feel it benefits.

More Tendon Facts:

Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.

A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.

Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.

Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.

Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.

To Heal as fast as possible:

Rest
Use a Cold Compression Wrap
Get Therapeutic Ultrasound Treatment
Avoid Pain Killers

Dear MendMeShop,

Just had to share my story. My son who was 17 years old at the time he's now 18, was complaining of pain in both his knees. We took him to the Dr who told us he had torn cartilage in both knees and would need arthroscopic surgery on both knees to take out the torn cartilage. At this young age I did not want him to loose what cartilage he had as it leads to other problems when you get older. The orthopedic surgeon wanted to do surgery right away before more damage was done. He had surgery on his left knee and they took out 35% of his cartilage. I went to the internet for help ,hoping there was a better way to solve his problem in his other knee. That's when I found the Mend me shop. I showed the articles to his Surgeon and told him I wanted to try it before he had more surgery done. He said it was probably just another internet scam but I went ahead and ordered it anyway sine they have a 60 day return policy. What did we have to lose, nothing. To my surprise the inferno wrap with the ultra sound treatments took all of my son's pain, clicking and soreness away. His knee feels like new again and he's back to paying basketball. I have never responded to any product before but I feel strongly about these products, they really do work, I wish I had saved him from having surgery on his other knee. So if you are having the same issues give these products a try you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!!!!!

Dear MendMeShop,

My husband, Luke accidentally twisted his leg and injured his hip, for about 2 weeks he tried hot & cold compression, pain medications & massages nothing helped. He read a medical news letter about alternative treatment using ultrasound. By searching Google, he located your company. He purchased the ultrasound and used 3 times a day for one week and his pain is completely gone. Now I am using it to treat my osteoarthritis knee and also feel much better.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am a Registered Nurse who works straight night shifts and I have had chronic neck, bilateral shoulder and arm pain intermittently for 3 years. I have seen a chiropractor, a neurologist, and physical therapist. I have tingling and numbness in my arms and hands, especially when I push on the pressure points near my elbows. In fact, most or all of the pressure point in my neck, shoulders, and arms hurt when pressed/massaged. The neurologist said it is probably cervical strain, the nerve conduction test was negative. I just saw my primary physician today and she has referred me back to the neurologist to redo the nerve test because I am starting to drop things. I have tried NSAIDs, massage, tens, heating packs, ice packs, stretching exercises, and traction. The only treatment that took the pain and numbness away instantly and thorougly has been MendMeShop Ultrasound massage therapy.

Golfers Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis)

Good game of golf ruined by tendon pain?

Golfers Elbow is one of the most popular forms of acute tendonitis and is most prevalent in females. Elbow injuries account for 35% to 33% of all injuries in amateur golfers. Golfers Elbow is a very painful condition affecting the inside of the elbow (close to the "funny bone") and results from overuse of arm and forearm muscles, or hitting an obstruction (ground, root, etc) instead of the golf ball during a hard swing.

Good game of golf ruined by tendon pain?

When treating golfers elbow, rest the area (meaning do NOT play golf), apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day to 3 days. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy may be used after the acute swelling is improved and rest prevents further injury.

Therapeutic ultrasound can also be used to minimize the build up of scar tissue in the elbow during the healing process. Less scar tissue in the joint allows for a larger range of motion so your swing is not affected when you get back on the golf course.

Tendon Injury Facts:

When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.

Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.

As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.

Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.

Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.

Dear MendMeShop,

This gel smells and feels wonderful, both during the ultrasound treatment and for about an hour afterward. After a week of treatment, my swelling has decreased by half. I'm glad that I purchased this product.
