Dear MendMeShop, I have had deQuervain's in the left hand twice, and in a matter of months it went away. When I got it in the right hand, however, nothing I did -- no matter how much I tried to rest it -- helped at all. I just lived with it for over a year, while it gradually got worse, when I read about the ultrasound therapy system; and the positive remarks that others made about it decided me to buy it. It took 6 months of diligent treatment, but now I am free of pain and able to use the hand in any way I want. I am also using it effectively on other soft-tissue pain that I occasionally have. Thank you! Rating: Suzanne Citak
More Tendon Facts:
Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.
A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.
Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.
Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.
Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.
To Heal as fast as possible: Rest Use a Cold Compression Wrap Get Therapeutic Ultrasound Treatment Avoid Pain Killers
Dear MendMeShop, I injured a tendon on the top part of my ankle about four months ago by walking too far on a sandy beach, dragging 2 heavy surf boards.
I tried healing it with rest, ice, physical therapy and two cortizone shots, but it was improving much slower than I would've liked.
So, I got the ultrasound machine and an inferno wrap from mendmeshop.com and the results have been amazing!
In just 10 days, I've seen more improvement than I had in the previous 3 months with the cortizone shots and staying off of it completely. Now I'm very confident that it will heal on it's own(if I continue the ultrasound and inferno wrap treatments) and that I won't need the expensive MRI or surgery that I had been discussing with the foot doctor.
I can't thank mendmeshop enough or recommend them more enthusiastically. They saved me a lot of money, a lot of time on crutches, and have been friendly and extremely helpful with questions I've had.
I would highly recommend them to anyone suffering from an injury. Rating: Dillion Turnbow Dear MendMeShop, I have been suffering with bursitis of the knee for about a year and a half.
I am a photographer and I am on my knees a lot. Every time after a session where I had to kneel, I would be in pain. I shot a graduation ceremony last month and by the end of the day I was in so much pain that I could not walk. I knew it was time to do something!
I did some research and realized that I did not want to do the cortisone injections. I was looking for something natural that I could do at home. The MendMeShop ultrasound was an answer to my prayer!
The first week I was still in a lot of pain but by the second week walking was much easier. By the end of the third week I could almost walk normally again and even shot an engagement couples photos at the beach with getting up and down on my knee!
I thank God that I found MendMeShop. The gel is really wonderful and smells so good. Rating: Lori Bowen Dear MendMeShop, My husband, Luke accidentally twisted his leg and injured his hip, for about 2 weeks he tried hot & cold compression, pain medications & massages nothing helped.
He read a medical news letter about alternative treatment using ultrasound. By searching Google, he located your company. He purchased the ultrasound and used 3 times a day for one week and his pain is completely gone.
Now I am using it to treat my osteoarthritis knee and also feel much better. Rating: L Chiu

Strained Tendon (tendonitis, tendinitis)
The strained tendon is a common yet painful injury that will occur in almost everyone at least once in their lifetime. The trick with a strained tendon is to make sure it heals properly which will provide the lowest chance of re-injury. Re-injury of a strained or stressed tendon occurs more easily than the initial injury and there is usually much more inflammation around a re-injured tendon than there was during the first occurrence. Tendonitis is a degenerative condition in the tendon fibers that attach muscles to bone, and sufferers generally complain of a severe, burning pain in the area, which gradually worsens and is exacerbated by stress on the joint.
If you got it from a workout, heavily reduce your workout intensity through the healing stage, and make sure the injured tendon be warmed up (and down) properly before and after a workout where it will be stressed. When treating tendinitis, rest the area, apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day up to 3 days.

Tendon Injury Facts:
When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.
Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.
As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.
Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.
Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.
Dear MendMeShop, I am nursing a rotator cuff injury. I got it from swinging my arm out to quickly dancing one day. I have not really tried any other treatment besides going to therapy. I looked on the internet and did a search on the rotator cuff and saw the Ultrasound unit from MendMeShop. After reading the information on the website, I decided to buy.
Owning my own ultrasound unit, I can give my self more treatments than going twice a week to therapy. Plus I am saving money from less visits. Since I have been using the unit about a month, I have noticed the movement of my left arm is recovering better. Plus I can always use ultrasound treatments in the future if needed, which I don't want to happen any time soon. I have already recommended the ultrasound to some friends that may need the unit for themselves. Rating: Anthony -
Dear MendMeShop, I purchased this product recently for my plantar fasciitis. I've been using it about a week, and it has helped a lot with the pain when I first get out of my bed in the morning.
I previously tried something else, that was more like a sock, that pulled the toes, and that only caused pain.
This is very comfortable to wear, and I love how much I'm able to adjust it!
I would recommend this to anyone! Rating: Bonnie Barber

Dear MendMeShop, For over six months, I suffered from bursitis of the left hip. Nothing seemed to help. If anything, it was getting worse.
Finally, my doctor gave me a prescription to see a physical therapist. A week before my first appointment I started using the hand held ultrasond that I received from MendMeShop. I started feeling relief. I was thrilled, and mentioned it to my therapist when I went for my first session.
She said I was the third patient of hers that had purchased the ultrasound. She was getting good feedback, and asked if I would bring it in to show her. When I did, she was impressed. She also said the gel used with it, is the same high quality used in their clinic.
I went ahead with a brief series of therapy treatments. I was discharged with some exercises, and told to continue to ice and use the hand held ultrasound on my hip. I have done that and I now feel that, between the icing and the ultrasound, my bursitis is being kept at bay!
Another interesting thing I would like to share. I have a life long neck problem. I had a serious fall as a child, and as a result the first vertebre in my neck (the atlas) often becomes dislodged. When this happens, I become spacey and depressed and barely able to function until I can get to my upper cervical specialist in Chicago.
Recently, while in Florida, I began to get the usual negative symptoms of my neck being out of allignment. I panicked. I couldn't fly back to Chicago for a treatment. I was terrified I would be miserable and my trip ruined. Out of desperation I used the ultrasound (on the low setting) on my neck. It felt wonderful, and the negative symptions subsided. I am still in Florida and doing fine. Very anxious to share this with my doctor in Chicago when I return. Rating: Sharon Carr
