Dear MendMeShop, I played basketball in college back in Connecticut and now am 43 and trying to get back in to shape and back on the basketball court for about 2 years now and couldn't b/c of the adhesions.
All is slowly getting better. I've been using the ultrasound device for about 3 weeks now and was able to play my first basketball game with out my calf muscle adhesions acting up. I was doubtful but hopeful at first but I now see it actually works!
Thanks again. Rating: Eric Tetrault
More Tendon Facts:
Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.
A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.
Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.
Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.
Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.
To Heal as fast as possible: Rest Use a Cold Compression Wrap Get Therapeutic Ultrasound Treatment Avoid Pain Killers
Dear MendMeShop, I have adhesive capsulitus and supraspinata calcification.
I was advised by the specialist to rest the joint and let it heal itself with little to no recommendation re exercise (say 6/12/18 months!!!).
After seeing an osteopath and researching the internet I saw your site re ultrasound and asked my physio his opinion. He loaned me a commercial unit and after three days treatment (three times per day) with exercise in the shower my inflammation was reduced and range of movement radically increased. Hence the order from Mendmeshop and I have used the Ultrasound unit since receipt. I am now back at golf with no pain from the golf swing and virtually full range of motion of the arm.
Have also used to radically reduce soft tissue soreness around the ankle bone and knee hence I am very pleased with the Mendmeshop Ultrasound unit and the service provided by Mendmeshop prior to purchase.
I bought two and I am taking the second unit across the country for my sons Xmas present as he has used Ultrasound to help with back problems. Rating: Paul Lea Dear MendMeShop, The Ultrasound package arrived Saturday in good order.
I couldn't wait to try it for my hip bursitis. WOW, I have used it each morning and each evening and I am extremely impressed.
Will follow a regular series of treatments for a few days, twice a day to see how it goes.
By the way, I have not taken Hydrocortisone since starting the series of treatments. Best Regards, Stan. Rating: Stan Stockwell Dear MendMeShop, In response to the woman who fell and injured her shoulders and then ended up with frozen shoulder. I am a Massage Therapist and have been practicing massage therapy for over 5 years and have been studying and practicing Trigger Point Therapy for 4 years. I ordered my Ultrasound equipment and started using it on myself just a little over 4 months ago. I found that my muscles were much softer and that I can get down to the deeper layers of muscles which, when massaging yourself, can be very difficult without causing trigger points, strain, to other muscles. I had done research on ultrasound therapy for trigger points and found that it has been considered to be a very useful tool in conjunction with Trigger Point Therapy. I then began using it on my clients (making sure I was fully aware of the contraindications of use) to assist with my Trigger Point work. My clients are very happy with the addition of this tool to my work. It is very relaxing for them. Then, when I start the trigger point work, my clients find it not nearly as uncomfortable as it is without the use of the ultrasound. From my perspective, as a Therapist, I find that I am now able to get to the deeper layers of muscles where additional trigger points hide. I'm able to work with less effort on my part. And, the most important part of the therapy, my clients are getting better faster with the use of the Ultrasound equipment. So, to the woman who is getting great results from her MendMe Ultrasound equipment, I'm happy that she has found this website and has been able to take control of her own personal health. However, I would also recommend she find a qualified Trigger Point Massage therapist. I am positive that, in conjunction with her continued use of the MendMe Ultrasound, the Trigger Point will enhance and expedite her recovery time. And that will also help her muscles recover and not be so willing to go back in to the same, contracted, state they were in before. Congratulations to her for taking the time and effort to participate in her own recovery. Rating: Helen Delger

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis
Tendinitis of the Foot
Tendinitis can affect four different tendons of the foot - the achilles tendon, posterior tibial tendon, the anterior tibial tendon and the peroneal tendon.
Posterior tibial tendonitis is a common overuse injury that affects the inside arch of the foot. This tendon that assists in holding the arch of the foot also prevents your foot from rolling.
If a person has tendonitis of the foot, he or she may have inflammation at the in-step area of the foot and also have a flat foot deformity. The inflammation can be caused by irritation and tiny tears in the posterior tibial tendon over time (referred to as chronic tendonitis) or due to an immediate traumatic strain or tear (referred to as acute tendonitis).
Symptoms
Symptoms of an inflamed posterior tibial tendon may include:
- Pain along the in-step of the foot.
- Shooting, stabbing or burning pain in the foot.
- If standing on their toes, the patient will feel intense pain in the arch of their foot.
Reducing the symptoms is the first step in alleviating this tendinitis. When treating the posterior tibial tendon, rest the area (meaning do NOT workout this area other than stretching), apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day up to 3 days. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy may be used after the acute swelling is improved. Cold compression therapy will reduce initial inflammation and swelling and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy increases blood flow through the area to speed the healing process. This can be further helped by the use of ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly and increases blood flow to the area, helping the tendon heal more quickly.

Returning to activity too soon will probably cause the symptoms to reoccur. Self-massage with heat inducing cream or oil may also help this. Physical therapists suggest rubbing the ointment in semicircles in all directions away from the knotted tissue three times a day until healed. Preventive measures for all types of foot tendinitis include, proper warm up and stretching exercises, wearing the right shoe for the activity, choosing shoes with good arch and heel support and varying your exercise route and routine. (This will help keep one set of muscles from being overstressed).

Tendon Injury Facts:
When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.
Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.
As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.
Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.
Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.
Dear MendMeShop, I am very happy that I purchased the Ultrasound System. It has worked for me and after many months of pain, I have no more pain. I am so happy to have found the machine.
I was sitting at a table playing in a tournament. At the end of the round when I was to move to the next table, I could not get there without help from others. The pain was intense. When the tournament was over, I could not walk to the door and get to my car. Others helped me and I made it home and crawled into my house. After a period of time, a few minutes, I was able to walk with a limp, pain subsiding.
As soon as I could, without going to the emergency room, I saw my doctor and got a specific diagnosis. Pes Anserine (knee) Bursitis, I put these words into my search engine, Along with others, your name Mend Me came up. Because of your guarantee, I did not see that I could lose. I am so glad I purchased the Ultrasound System.
Also, I have a friend who used to do ultrasound work in a hospital and before I used it, I asked her opinion and she said she thought no harm would come to me so...here we are. I have no pain. I can walk normally.

Dear MendMeShop, I am a 37 year-old who stays fairly active and plays in several flag football leagues each Fall/Winter.
Two months ago, after an unusually painful game, I was diagnosed with Bursitis in both of my ankles and was advised not to continue to run or play football for a while. I followed the regiment prescribed by my doctor (stretching exercises, heat, etc.) and took a month off from playing.
As I gradually started playing again, I still experienced significant pain in my ankles. While doing research on-line regarding bursitis, I came across your web site, read the information and testimonials, and decided to order the Personal Portable Ultrasound System.
As someone who has taught customer service skills, I was very pleased with the high-quality customer service I received and promptly receiving my order in just a few days. After 2 weeks of using the Personal Portable Ultrasound System, I played this past Sunday.
I not only played without ANY pain, but received the MVP award for scoring 3 touchdowns and having 1 interception. As a result of my seemingly miraculous recovery, a couple of my teammates have begun coming to my house to use my ultrasound and are planning to order their own.
Thank you very much for your superior customer service and for providing a very beneficial product that REALLY works! Rating: Andre Chandler
