Dear MendMeShop,

I had tendonitis on my right arm that kept me from doing simple task, even lifting a single plate is painful. I have no idea why I have this, perhaps I overused my right arm or related to my rotator cuff injury two years ago. I have taken so many pain medications (motrin, celebrex, etc.) but the pain kept coming back. I went to the doctor and had cortisone shots and I was pain free for three months. One day I was mopping the floor and I heard my elbow popped and the pain started again. I didn't want another cortisone shot because the shot itself was really painful. Then I remember when I used to go for physical therapy on my right shoulder injury (rotator cuff) and this ultrasound device was used on me several times two years ago. I remember feeling so relieved after every session and I wonder whether I could have one for myself. I started looking for this device on the internet and found MendMeShop.com. At first I was hesitant to buy it because it was expensive then my arm got worse and I checked back on your website and found it on sale. After two weeks of using it, my arm has improved a lot. I can do my normal tasks again without feeling so much pain. I own a small Asian grocery store and my customers have noticed that I don't wrap my right arm anymore and I tell them about this device and how it had helped me a lot. I recommend it to my friends, family and customers.

Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.

A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.

Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.

Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.

Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.

Dear MendMeShop,

I learned about your product from surfing the net looking for natural ways to heal tendon injuries. What I read on your site made sense to me. Your explanation of soft tissue injury healing, plus your money back guarantee led to my purchase of your products. I am very happy with both of the items I bought from your company! The pain in my elbow, which was a constant shooting pain, is gone! I am still using the Elbow inferno 2x/day and the ultrasound as fits my schedule. Thank-you so much for offering this kind of a product - I was determined not to go to a doctor. With your company's help I succeeded in mending at home and am back to my work out routine as before.

Dear MendMeShop,

Since I am a nurse and see a lot of injuries, I know what helps. Recently I tore my ACL in my left knee and was going to physical therapy, which by the way is very expensive if you do not have really good insurance coverage. It was very time consuming and costly, so I started looking online for another alternative and found Mendmeshop. Best thing I could have done! The ultrasound device and gel are WONDERFUL! I started seeing improvement in the first week and love the ease of use and the fact that it can be done at home on my own schedule. The customer service is also top notch, and there for you immediately. I highly recommend this product and it has been a PLEASURE dealing with Paul and this company.

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis

Tendinitis of the Foot

Posterior tibial tendonitis/tendinitis.

Tendinitis can affect four different tendons of the foot - the achilles tendon, posterior tibial tendon, the anterior tibial tendon and the peroneal tendon.

Posterior tibial tendonitis is a common overuse injury that affects the inside arch of the foot. This tendon that assists in holding the arch of the foot also prevents your foot from rolling.

If a person has tendonitis of the foot, he or she may have inflammation at the in-step area of the foot and also have a flat foot deformity. The inflammation can be caused by irritation and tiny tears in the posterior tibial tendon over time (referred to as chronic tendonitis) or due to an immediate traumatic strain or tear (referred to as acute tendonitis).

Symptoms

Symptoms of an inflamed posterior tibial tendon may include:

  • Pain along the in-step of the foot.
  • Shooting, stabbing or burning pain in the foot.
  • If standing on their toes, the patient will feel intense pain in the arch of their foot.

Reducing the symptoms is the first step in alleviating this tendinitis. When treating the posterior tibial tendon, rest the area (meaning do NOT workout this area other than stretching), apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day up to 3 days. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy may be used after the acute swelling is improved. Cold compression therapy will reduce initial inflammation and swelling and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy increases blood flow through the area to speed the healing process. This can be further helped by the use of ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly and increases blood flow to the area, helping the tendon heal more quickly.

Returning to activity too soon will probably cause the symptoms to reoccur. Self-massage with heat inducing cream or oil may also help this. Physical therapists suggest rubbing the ointment in semicircles in all directions away from the knotted tissue three times a day until healed. Preventive measures for all types of foot tendinitis include, proper warm up and stretching exercises, wearing the right shoe for the activity, choosing shoes with good arch and heel support and varying your exercise route and routine. (This will help keep one set of muscles from being overstressed).

Tendon Injury Facts:

When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.

Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.

As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.

Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.

Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.

Dear MendMeShop,

WOW! I'm certain that I'm going to be "hard pressed" to fully explain just how "GREAT" my personal experience has been with MendMeShop. I'm in my mid 50's......(really?....it ain't ALL that old!)........and have had many injuries in my past. The "main" injury, that caused me to seek out the information that resulted in my finding these great folks, is my right knee. I tore the meniscus, way back "yonder" in 1973. Over the years I have managed to do MORE and more damage to BOTH of my knees. WHY? Well it's because I used to "Steer Wrestle" (bulldogging). I'm here, now, to tell you that when you jump off of a running horse.....onto a running 500 pound steer.....STOP this steer, and "throw" him to the ground, well.......it's HARD on the knees! I've had four surgeries on my right knee, and two on the left, to repair torn meniscus, ACL, and other conditions. I shattered my right ankle, in a truck/wild hog accident, in 1975, and have several screws in that one. In 1978, I shattered my right wrist....and have 3 screws in it! Over the years, I've managed to break (according to my Doc.) about 70% of the bones in this tired old body! I've been treated with "ultrasound therapy" for several of those "mishaps"! Now, I already know that ultrasound is a viable option for the treatment of many conditions. I also know that MY experience with Ultrasound has been positive.......somewhat! I say "somewhat" because every time I was treated, meant I would have to drive to the Doc's office, wait for someone to get to me, then get the treatment, and finally, drive home. That's about a 5 hour deal for me. It is a twenty-two mile drive each way, from the ranch. The treatments worked, but the time involved caused me to not follow through on ALL of the prescribed treatments. It's easy to "NOT" follow through on a treatment plan when there's that much driving, and time, involved. With the MendMeShop System, there's no excuse to not get completely healed. I ordered the MendMeShop Ultrasound Therapy System, along with a Knee Inferno Wrap. This was after I re-injured my knee and was slated for surgery. Now....as a rancher, the busiest time of the year is between January 1st, and December 31st! Sometimes it is a bit more busy during the spring, summer, and fall! I simply could NOT afford to be "off" my feet for a month. So.....I limped around on crutches for several weeks and was trying to "get by" until possibly November, or so. It just so happened, that I decided to look on the Internet for some kind of "fix", and found the MendMeShop website. The rest is history! After placing the order, I made several calls, to some Veterinarian buddies, and asked their opinion about this type of treatment. Every one of them gave me a positive report. I was extremely pleased with the shipment time. I think I had my equipment in about five days.....and I live in South Texas. That's a long ways from Canada. I started treatments immediately! Now, let me tell you this, "I can't explain "HOW" this results happened as quick as it did, BUT..... after the third treatment with both the Ultrasound and the Inferno Wrap, (used alternately) I walked out to my truck without the crutches!" That happened on the second day, in the evening! After another week and a half, I had almost ZERO pain, and NO limp! Amazed? It's like a miracle happened! I will go so far as to say this, "If the folks at MendMeShop would allow me to buy into their business.....I WOULD!" I believe in this company with every fibre of my being. I can NOT say enough positive "stuff" about this Company and the people that operate it! They are as friendly as Texans, (that's saying something, right there folks!) and their products perform like they say! The equipment is very well built.....their guarantee is exceptional......and the price is extremely reasonable! BUT! Above all, IT WORKS! It's been about six weeks and no pain! I've used it on my shoulder problem, also, and that pain has completely subsided. Now, I'm not looking forward to another injury, although I know that will happen, but now..... I'm prepared! Bring it on! One last thing, did I mention that my experience with MendMeShop was a 100% positive experience? When you talk to these folks, you'll soon learn that too! In fact, you have my word that if you use these products, for what they are intended, you will be 100% satisfied also. In my honest opinion, you'll be well satisfied...as I am! John Shannon

Dear MendMeShop,

With the many portable ultrasound machines now circulating through internet stores, I was very impressive with the high quality of this portable ultrasound machine. It provides pain relieving ultrasound therapy with an informative manual and all natural ultrasound gel. The MendMeShop ultrasound unit effectively treats muscle, tissue, tendon and bone pain. I think this device can improve the quality of life for many suffering from chronic and acute injuries. Instead of paying to use an ultrasound machine at the chiropractor or physical therapist, now you can get the same benefits DAILY in the comfort of your own home. I highly recommend MendMeShop's products for all your therapeutic ultrasound needs.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am a daycare operator and I am very active at work. The building where the daycare is housed contains three flights of stairs, which I walk up and down all day. Early in the summer I had suffered a rather severe meniscus injury, as it developed a tear. Being concerned, my doctor had wanted me to do surgery but I wanted to see if there were any alternatives. Going online, I came across your website and I decided to try the portable ultrasound system to help relieve the pain and inflammation. I am pleased to say that using the ultrasound device has allowed me to avoid surgery. My orthopedic doctor is happily surprised that I have recovered so quickly. I actually feel better each day I use ultrasound. Currently, I am using the ultrasound twice daily, down from the three times daily I started with. Being a 60 year old, I think the results are dramatic and I am quite pleased. The pain is literally gone and I can now sleep better at night.
