Dear MendMeShop, Dear Tanya of MendMeShop,
I appreciate your following up and would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the relief obtained with the Ultrasound Pain Therapy System. I am not seeing any pain due to the rotator-cuff injury unless the shoulder is exerted too much. The arms and shoulder are able to move more freely than before and this increase in the range of movement allows for activities that could not be attempted before. Since the pain has gone away after the 3-week treatment, I propose to use it only if the pain flares up again or the shoulder is re-injured.
Your product has been a godsend and I have already recommended it to a couple of friends and relatives. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Anand Rating: Anand Rajan
More Tendon Facts:
Ultrasound can speed tendonitis recovery significantly.
A fully ruptured Tendon REQUIRES surgery. It will not heal on its own.
Except for a fully ruptured tendon, Tendonitis can almost always be cured without surgery.
Left untreated, tendonitis can be extremely debilitating and lead to life long complications.
Continually using your Tendon while it is injured will lead to a worse injury.

Dear MendMeShop, I injured my roator cuff in left shoulder in Oct of '07. I had a cortisone shot shortly after and it felt good for a few weeks or so. In Dec my wife and I left for Florida for the winter suffered for three months with a sore shoulder. We returned in April visited the doctor and got another cortisone shot. About the same time I found your web site on the ultrasound units and decided to try it. I waited the 30 days from the date of the cortisone shot as instructed and started using the ultrasound unit. I can now say that for the first time since last Oct I am pain free without a cortisone shot and I attribute it to your unit. Thanks for a great product and great people to deal with, especially Deb for her help.
Also, the information you sent with the unit was shared with the physical therapy unit of our local hospital and they have approved my wife to use it for post surgery use on her thumb.
You may use me as a testimonial any time.
Jim Patten Rating: Jim Patten Dear MendMeShop, I am a very active individual. If I am not running or lifting weights you can usually find me doing various outdoor and home improvement projects.
That is why when I recently started experiencing pain in my shoulder, upper arm and forearm I concluded that I had aggravated an old rotator cuff injury. Initially I ignored the discomfort, thinking that that would make it magically disappear but, to my disappointment the pain only continued to get worse.
After a couple of months of I pain, I decided to do something for myself. I tried stretching exercises, massage, the heating pad and ibprofen but nothing seemed to be helping.
That's when I went online and found the Mend Me Shop.
I remember that the Doctor that treated my first injury prescribed ultra sound treatments twice a week. The idea of doing those myself, at home, was very appealing and the inferno wrap for the shoulder seemed like a good way to wrap the heat around the immediate area that needed treating.
When I picked up the package from the post office I was anxious to get started. I was so pleased that after only three days of using the products, I was feeling relief. It's only been a little over a week since I started treatments and I can say that I can once again imagine living without the that constant pain.
Thanks so much for the relief !!! Rating: Theresa Zimmerman Dear MendMeShop, This unit and the results are amazing. I've had plantar faciitis for 8 months, am wearing orthotics, stretching multiple times a day, icing, night splints, and nothing really was working. I used it twice a day, 10 minutes on Medium for 14 days, and by then I only had mild tenderness in the morning. The third week, I went to every other day and this week, the 4th, I'm off completely. I have a tiny bit of tenderness here and there, so I will probably go back to using it next week and do at least a partial rotation through the 4 week cycle. I'm also still using a night splint. After 8 months of terrible pain every day, I finally feel like I'm going to get over this! Thank you MendMe Shop! Rating: Martha Hine

Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)
Tennis Elbow is a very popular form of acute tendonitis that is most prevalent in tennis players that are over 40 and up to 50% of racket sports players develop this condition at some stage. It is a degenerative condition where tendon fibres attach the muscles of the forearm to the elbow. Sufferers generally complain of a severe, burning pain on the outside of the elbow, which gradually worsens and is exacerbated by gripping or lifting things.
Treatment
When treating Tennis elbow rest the area, apply cold compression for 10-20 minutes at a time for at least 3 times a day. Do this to the injured area for the first day up to 3 days. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy may be used after the acute swelling is improved. Cold compression therapy will reduce initial inflammation and swelling and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy increases blood flow through the area to speed the healing process. This can be further helped by the use of ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly and increases blood flow to the area, helping the tendon heal more quickly.

The trick to any tendon injury is getting it to heal with minimal scar tissue formation and with as much realignment of tendon fibers as possible - something both Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy and therapeutic ultrasound are great at! Even with optimum healing there is always less elasticity in a previously injured tendon. The trick is to make sure you heal this the best you can, that way your chance of reinjury down the road is much lower than average.

Tendon Injury Facts:
When the tendon gets inflamed it is known as tendonitis, and when the tendons are chronically overused, it may lead to microscopic tears in the collagen matrix and causes a gradual weakening of the tissues.
Achilles tendonitis is a common injury among runners, as the Achilles tendon is responsible for helping you lift off the ground with each stride.
As computers become ever more important elements of the work place and everyday life, incidents of wrist tendonitis are on the rise.
Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of tendonitis. Anti-inflammatories and pain killers can cause tendonitis to worsen.
Ice and Compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for tendonitis.
